This oak storage chest with with circle carvings on the front panels comes from the Czech Republic and dates to the late 1800's. It has a lift-up lid and may originally have been used as a wedding chest as part of the bride's dowery. It has a nice warm brown color; some repair work may have been done in the past on the bottom carvings in front.
