This oak church pew from the mid-1800's was picked up in Leuven, Belgium, home to the oldest Catholic university in the world. It has ornate side carvings with a Fleur de Lis motif, a rounded bottom seat for comfortable sitting, and blocks on the bottom of the legs where the bench was placed into openings in the church floor. On the back of the bench is an opening and a shelf to put books for the parishioners sitting in the row behind. There is a small remnant of a dark water stain on the seat, but overall it's in excellent condition.
